About the Position:

Construction Project Managers are responsible for the Financial, Schedule, Safety and Quality performance of their assigned projects. Construction Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals. You will oversee project communications and tracking schedules, review construction drawings and RFIs, and evaluate and coordinate building systems, and you'll be responsible for managing the development and oversight of projects from conception through construction and closeout.


What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate directly with estimating and pre-construction staff to start-up new projects; convert estimates to budgets, coordinate permits, develop project staffing plans and set-up document control processes
  • Prepare project execution plans, QC plans, site specific safety plans, schedules of value and other required project documentation
  • Manage the QC process
  • Manage the RFI process: Analyze and process RFIs; coordinate with designers to ensure RFIs are answered in a timely manner, and that RFIs are returned to the appropriate trades
  • Manage project budgets including labor, materials and procurement costs, accounts receivable, cash flow, forecasting (projections), contingency and allowance accounting and profitability.
  • Travel to project sites, client, designer or subcontractor offices or facilities, or other remote locations as required

Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems

  • Other duties as assigned



What You Will Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline is required. Minimum of 5-10 years' progressive experience in commercial construction project management with 5+ years as Lead Project Manager. A record of successful project execution is required. Experience on U.S. Federal or large commercial/industrial client projects is desired. Experience on design-build projects is a plus.

  • Familiar with construction and project management software programs
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills

License/Certification Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record is required
  • LEED, Design-Build Professional or Certified Healthcare Constructor certifications are desirable
